Drake passes Elvis Presley on Billboard’s list of male artists with the most top-ten hits

Image credit: Dan MartensenIs Drake now the new King?  The rapper has just claimed fourth place on the list of male artists with the most Billboard Hot 100 top ten solo hits, passing the late Elvis Presley.

Drizzy’s single “Yes Indeed” with Lil Baby jumped from #49 to #6 this week, becoming his 26th top ten hit on the Hot 100 list in the process.  That puts him ahead of Elvis, who had 25.

At this point, Drake trails only Michael JacksonStevie Wonder and Elton John when it comes to male artists with the most top 10 hits. The King of Pop leads with 29 top tens, followed by Wonder with 28, and John with 27. 

Also on the Hot 100, the OVO Sound CEO also returns to number one with “Nice For What,” swapping places with “This is America” by Childish Gambino, which drops to number two.

Drake has also now spent 36 weeks in total at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, which is third-best among male solo artists. Usher leads the list with 47 weeks at number one, followed by Jackson with 37 weeks.
