The song, which samples 50’s “In Da Club,” finds Elle aiming to please her lover every day of the year. “It’s your day, your day/ You can have me your way,” she seductively sings on the track, posted on Sound Cloud.
“Imagine if your lover treated you like every day was your birthday! We captured that fun and sexy vibe on this record,” she told Billboard. “You can certainly add this one to your go-to collection of ‘Birthday’ classics.”
“Birthday” serves as the first single off her upcoming album, 4 Letter Word, arriving later this year.
