Fantasia, Tamar Braxton Thrilled with Grammy Nominations

RCA; TamarBraxton.comFantasia Barrino and Tamar Braxton are both excited over their recently announced Grammy Award nominations. Each singer scored three nods in both song and album categories.

Fanny reacted to the news by posting a picture of herself to her Instagram page. She wrote in the accompanying caption,  “3 nominations: best traditional r&b performance, Best R&B Song ‘without me’ and Best urban contemporary album?? Lord I just want to Thank You!!!”

Fantasia released her fourth studio album, Side Effects of You, earlier this year, which spawned her hit singles “Lose to Win” and “Without Me.” The singer previously won a Best Female R&B Vocal Performance Grammy for 2010’s “Bittersweet.”

Tamar expressed her gratitude for nabbing three Grammy nominations, including Best R&B Song for “Love and War” and Best Urban Contemporary Album for Love and War.

“Look at God. #Tamartianfriends we are going to the @TheGRAMMYs_ ! Thank you so much 4 riding for me,” Braxton wrote on Twitter.What ever happens NEXT.. It is WELL with my SOUL!??” 

The duo will compete against Miguel, Rihanna, Anthony Hamilton, Mack Wilds, and others at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, airing Sunday, January 26 on CBS.
