From Xscape to XSCAP3: R&B group makes name change, signs with CAA

by

DeWayne Rogers/Monami EntertainmentIt looks like Xscape has made some major career moves.

First, the R&B group has officially changed their name from Xscape to XSCAP3according to Billboard

This switch-up – changing the final ‘e’ to a number 3 — could signify the absence of member Kandi Burress‘ vocals from their forthcoming album.

As previously reported, Kandi told ABC News that although she loves her group, she doesn’t “plan on doing any new music” with them.

In addition, LaTocha ScottTameka “Tiny” Harris and Tamika Scott have signed with Creative Artists Agency for “worldwide representation in all areas.”

This leaves fans wondering if the trio has dropped manager Vincent Herbert

December, HipHollywood reported that XSCAP3 signed with Herbert to help manage them. Tiny told the entertainment news website, “We love what he did with Tamar and Lady Gaga and we also knew he understood the business. We’re really excited.”

As previously noted, rapper Remy Ma allegedly fired Herbert earlier this week for “spending more time repairing his relationship” with estranged wife Tamar Braxton and failing to perform “basic manager duties.”

XSCAP3’s forthcoming album, Here For It, is expected to drop March 3.

They’re also filming a documentary “that will trace the group and its members’ origins.”
