Monday, the Grammy-winning vocalist announced that she’s spearheading a new festival called Lights On. In partnership with Live Nation Urban, H.E.R. is set to curate and headline the inaugural concert at Concord Pavilion in Concord, CA on September 14.
The upcoming festival champions R&B music, with a lineup featuring a handful of the genre’s current and emerging talents. The likes of Jhené Aiko, Daniel Caesar, Summer Walker and Ari Lennox have been tapped as headliners, with additional performances from Kiana Ledé, DaniLeigh, Melii, Lucky Daye, Marc E. Bassy and more.
H.E.R.’s vision for the festival includes providing a platform for and showcasing art forms other than music. Lights On will be comprised of two main stages for music, and a third stage dedicated to rising filmmakers.
The festival will also include brand activations from local visual artists, vendors and food trucks.
“Concord Pavilion is the ultimate venue. It is the perfect place to bring people from all over the Bay [Area],” H.E.R. shared in a statement.
She continued, “I have many memories watching shows and DREAMING I’d be able to perform there. The Bay Area is my home…..it’s a dream come true to host my festival there.”
