ABC/ Jeff NeiraToni Braxton is setting the record straight on her relationship with Birdman: She and her rap mogul beau are still going strong.
Entertainment Tonight recently caught up with the Grammy-winning singer on the red carpet for the season six premiere of Braxton Family Values, where she addressed rumors that she had ended her new romance.
“We don’t know what happened,” Braxton told ET when asked about her relationship status. “[The rumors] just kind of [came out of nowhere].”
She continued, “Someone said it and we were like, ‘OK, we’ll just ride with it because it’ll give us some privacy. So that’s good. But we’re good.”
Earlier this year, rumors of Braxton and Birdman splitting began to swirl after the Cash Money Records head honcho posted and then deleted an Instagram story which read: “It’s over.”
The “I Love Me Some Him” vocalist then echoed the rapper’s sentiments by sharing a photo on Instagram, with a caption that read:”Starting a new chapter isn’t always an easy choice…but ALWAYS choose to be chosen.”
In either case, it appears as though Braxton and Birdman have decided to make it work.
