ABC/Eric McCandlessAs previously reported, TV One is working on an upcoming biopic of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown‘s late daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown.
However, Bobby is “not pleased” with the news, according to the Jasmine Brand.
Sources tell the gossip website that the entertainer “was blindsided” upon hearing that the rights to the movie were sold without his blessing or prior knowledge. However, another source also states that “TV One doesn’t have to clear anything through him.”
The site reports that singer-actress Demetria McKinney and Vivica A. Fox are both reported to star in the project, with Demetria rumored to play Whitney and Vivica as Whitney’s sister-in-law Pat Houston.
Over the weekend, McKinney seemingly confirmed the news by sharing a now-deleted Instagram photo of herself seated with possibly two actors who will play the role of Bobbi Kristina and her boyfriend, Nick Gordon.
“Where do broken hearts go?” McKinney captioned the photo. “”#RIPWhitney #bobbikristina #nickgordon#WhitneyHouston #DemetriaMcKinney.”
Bobbi Kristina died on July 26, 2015, six months after she was found unresponsive in a bathtub and subsequently placed on life support.
