It’s been over 3 years since the Flint water crisis shocked the nation. While efforts are underway to replace lead tainted pipes, much more needs to be done to ensure clean water is available for the city’s residents.
Enter Jaden Smith, the 20-year old son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, who via his JUST Water company has teamed with church in flint to make available a mobile water filtration system know as the ‘The Water Box.’ The system reduces lead and other contaminants from water. The church, First Trinity Missionary Baptist has distributed over 5 million bottles of water to residents since the crisis began but donations are becoming scarce.
