Jamie Foxx announces his comedy tour is coming this summer

by

ABC/Randy Holmes Jamie Foxx is hitting the comedy stage sooner than you think.

After announcing on Thursday’s Ellen DeGeneres Show that he’s planning to do a standup comedy tour, the Oscar-winning actor is now sharing details as to when the tour will actually happen.

On the comments of an Instagram picture of his appearance on Ellen, Fox responded to a fan who wrote, “We need that comedy tour ASAP.”

Jamie revealed to the fan that his tour was “coming this summer.”

Although there’s been no formal announcement, Foxx already has his sights set on a possible co-headliner. During his appearance on Ellen, Foxx shared who he’d love to hit the road with.

“I would love to go on tour with Eddie [Murphy] because it’s our time – you haven’t heard from him in a minute, and you haven’t heard from me, and I got it,” he said. “I’ve got some super jokes.”

Meanwhile fans can see Foxx in his new film Just Mercy, which is in theaters now.
