Jazmine Sullivan can’t get over her surprise performance with Lauryn Hill during a Nina Simone tribute at Harlem’s Apollo Theatre Monday night.

Jazmine revealed in an Instagram post that Hill asked her to perform during the showcase, and later shared an Instagram video with the caption, “I’m awkward. Always, it’s cool tho. She don’t know what it means to share the stage w her.. Un-frickin-real.”

The showcase marks the first time Jazmine has sung with Hill, which proved to be a surreal moment. “I love l boogie,” Jaz continued on Twitter, calling Lauryn by her nickname. “I couldn’t tell her yesterday how much cuz I’m a weirdo. But the love is deep rooted. Childhood memories type love.”

According to Billboard, the entertainers were on hand for the pre-performance Netflix screening of the upcoming Nina Simone documentary What Happened, Miss Simone? The film debuts on Netflix June 26.
