Jhene Aiko has issued a profound video for “Eternal Sunshine,” her latest single from her debut album Souled Out.
In the clip, posted on her YouTube page, the singer draws on the experience of a bad car accident that she endured with her daughter, Namiko. In the vision, as her body ascends, you can see the wreckage from a head on collision appear behind her.
“If I were to die today/There’s not a thing I would change, I’ve lived well,” she sings on the Key Wane-produced track.
The video was directed by Jay Ahn and pays homage to Jhene’s late brother, Miyagi. “To #4 from #5, you are my eternal sunshine,” the caption reads at the end.
