ABC Radio Kelly Rowland has dispelled rumors of the alleged rivalry between Beyonce and Rihanna.
The former Destiny’s Child singer insists that there’s no tension between the two singers, explaining to the New York Daily News, “They are two women who support each other.”
The rumored beef seemingly reignited last month after Bey released her “Formation” single just days after Rih drooped her ANTI album. “The rest of the world starts the rivalry,” Kelly says. “They are very secure women.”
The news comes after Rihanna herself addressed the matter in an interview with Vogue. “Here’s the deal,” she said. “They just get so excited to feast on something that’s negative. Something that’s competitive. Something that’s, you know, a rivalry. And that’s just not what I wake up to. Because I can only do me. And nobody else is going to be able to do that.”
