David Becker/Getty Images via ABCKelly Rowland‘s latest project isn’t music or book-related: she’s teaming up with Band-Aid for the brand’s motivational “Stick With It” campaign.

In a new interview with Los Angeles Confidentialmagazine, she gives examples of times when she herself had to “Stick With It.”

Kelly says, “Throughout my career, there have been moments where I’ve been faced with setbacks. I once had a record in my possession that I knew was a hit, but my team didn’t agree.”

“I reached within myself to find the power to ‘Stick with it’ by changing up my team and releasing it anyway.”

“In the end, I had an international hit on my hands with ‘When Loves Takes Over,'” she adds.

“We all have setbacks, we all have things that could, of course, present themselves as challenges, but it’s all about the way you get back up. The way you persevere.”

In the same interview, Kelly reveals that fans can finally expect some new music from her.

She says, “I’m definitely actually creating an album right now.”

“The foundation is definitely R&B but dance makes its way or a tempo makes its way, like dance, into certain records and it’s executed in a really cool way. So I’m very excited to share this album.”
