Paul Archuleta/FilmMagic Keyshia Cole is ready to kick off her independent label career with new material. The diva has announced that she’s planning to release a brand new single, “Best Friend.”
She shared an Instagram photo of herself in the studio alongside producer Jaycen Joshua as she revealed details about her new partnership with EMPIRE Distribution.
“Decided to release the first single independent!!!! #BestFriend coming soon,” she wrote. “This a very special record for me!!! And I have one of my favs mixing the record!!!! @JaycenJoshua #Family!!! Thanks Jay and also #Empire #Empire and I have decided to team up!!! I really hope u guys Fall in love with the record as much as I have.”
While she didn’t spill on the release date,“Best Friend,” produced by Amadeus, will appear on her upcoming seventh album. It will serve as the follow-up to 2014’s Point of No Return.
