ReebokKhalid may be strutting into the Grammy Awards in his own custom Reeboks, now that he just partnered with the footwear and apparel company.
The “Location” singer is starring in Reebok’s Sport the Unexpected spring ad campaign.
“I’m amped to partner with Reebok,” Khalid says. “I love how they mix old and new and honor the classics with fresh twists. I hope we can inspire a new generation of people to be themselves and take creative chances.”
“Welcome to the family,” the brand commented on an Instagram photo of Khalid with his dog, Maui, wearing a specially designed Reebok doggy tracksuit.
“Khalid continues to be a beacon of originality, pride and imagination for today’s rising youth,” says Reebok VP of Marketing Matt Blonder. “Through his unique sound and a personal journey that took him across the country, Khalid authentically symbolizes our common ethos — to inspire creativity and encourage experimentation.”
Khalid had five Grammy nominations in 2018, including Best New Artist, but was shut out on awards night. He hopes to take home his first award on January 26; he’s nominated for Record of the Year, for “Talk.”
The El Paso, Texas artist, who turns 22 on February 11, has extended his Free Spirit World tour from 2019 with shows coming up in the spring in Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines, Tokyo, and South Korea.
