The gospel icon took the Gospel Artist of the Year and Contemporary Gospel Album of the Year awards, thanks to his latest studio album, Losing My Religion.
Travis Greene, who co-hosted the night with Contemporary Christian artist Blanca, performed his hit single “Intentional.” Donnie McClurkin, songwriter-producer Donald Lawrence and singer-songwriter Le’Andria Johnson also were present for the long-awaited event.
The 47th GMA Dove Awards will air on Sunday, October 16 at 9 p.m. CT on the Trinity Broadcasting Network.
