ABC/Ida Mae AstuteLedisi‘s newest single from her forthcoming album, Let Love Rule, is a testimony to the powers of unconditional love.
She tells Ebony magazine that the track, called “Us4Ever,” is a song “about a relationship that is slightly dysfunctional but functional.”
She explains, “That might sound crazy to some, but love is that simple and yet very complex for so many people. ‘Us4Ever’ is a poetic way of saying, ‘You get on my nerves but I love you no matter what.”
The song also features Grammy-nominated artist BJ the Chicago Kid, who gives a “male perspective for balance,” Ledisi adds.
Let Love Rule arrives everywhere on September 22 and is available now to pre-order.
