Karew Entertainment/RCA InspirationGospel meets hip-hop: Stellar Award-winner Kierra Sheard teams up with hip-hop icon Missy Elliott on a new single, “Don’t Judge Me.”

Kierra, the daughter of gospel legend Karen Clark Sheard of The Clark Sisters, also released a video for the song that features several of her own social media posts, including screaming at a Beyonce concert as Queen Bey gave a shout-out to her mom.

This is not the first time Kierra has worked with a hip-hop artist. She recently collaborated with Chance the Rapper on “I Got You,” a track from his latest album The Big Day that also features En Vogue and Ari Lennox.

The 32-year-old singer will be recording a live version of her upcoming album Kierra, on September 13, at her father Bishop J. Drew Sheard‘s church in Detroit.

Kierra is also portraying her mother in the upcoming biopic, The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel, which is set to premiere in January 2020 on Lifetime.
