Beyoncé surprise performance with Channing Tatum on Lip Sync Battle last week was a big moment in pop culture, right? LL Cool J seems to think so.
Fresh from receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the rapper opened up about their epic performance. “It was amazing. It was unbelievable,” he tells E! News. “She did her thing, and your boy Channing killed it, too!”
While Queen Bey shocked viewers with her surprise appearance, the real question is whether the host himself was privy to her involvement. “Yeah, I knew she was coming on,” LL says. “Sometimes I know about the guests, sometimes I don’t. Sometimes I need to know for copy reasons, but other times, I tell ’em don’t tell me because I want my reaction to be natural and true and real.”
Lip Sync Battle has been renewed by Spike for a third season. LL will return alongside commentator Chrissy Teigen.
