Makeda SandfordThe Grammy Awards are being announced this morning, and two-time nominee Luke James is hoping some of his favorite artists will be among the nominees.

“Summer Walker to H.E.R….there’s so many,” the “I Want You” singer tells ABC Audio.

Ari Lennox is also on Luke’s wish list. Among the men, Luke wants PJ Morton, who he describes as “an amazing artist,” to be nominated for his latest album, Paul.

PJ actually won his first Grammy in February — Best Traditional R&B Performance for ”How Deep Is Your Love.”

“Anybody who’s put [in] all of the work that they’ve done right now to keep music solid, feeling…alive,” James continues. “I just hope everybody takes something home, at least the experience, to be nominated.”

Luke performed his new single, “Go Girl” with BJ the Chicago Kid and Ro James, on the Soul Train Awards this past weekend. He’s also busy as an actor, and will be returning for season three of The Chi on Showtime in 2020.

The 62nd annual Grammy Awards will air live, Sunday January 26, 2020, 8:00 PM ET on CBS from Staples Center in Los Angeles.
