ABC/Randy HolmesLooks like Mariah Carey won’t be performing in South America as planned. The singer has confirmed that her shows in Chile, Argentina and Brazil have been cancelled. In a tweet, Mariah indicates tour promoters were to blame.
“Devastated my shows in Chile, Argentina & Brazil had to be cancelled,” she writes. “My fans deserve better than how some of these promoters treated them.”
She adds, “I love my lambs in #SouthAmerica and will do everything I can to come in 2017 the proper way. Thank you for understanding.”
Mariah was slated to kick off the South American leg of her Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour in Buenos Aires, Argentina on October 28. She’ll still be playing two dates in Mexico — Mexico City and Monterrey — on November 8 and 9.
