In an Instagram video, the “Level Up” singer showed off her new pixie cut and added the caption, “Chop it awf.”
According to Vogue, Ciara, who was honored with the Style Icon award at the ACE Awards in New York, publicly showed off her new hairdo on the red carpet. To compliment her stunning new hairstyle, Ciara was seen wearing a two-piece feathered outfit which was said to be from the fall 2018 Giambattista Valli Haute Couture collection.
Fans and fashion critics seemed to be a big fan of the short look.
“This is slay!!! This is your look!!!,” one fan wrote in the Instagram post’s comments. “The long hair doesn’t do it like this! Wow! Gorgeous.”
“CiCi! Killing it, with that Chic, Cut! Beautiful!!,” another beamed.
This is not, however, the first time Ciara’s slayed in a pixie cut. According to Page Six, the singer tried a similar short style with side-swept bangs back in 2009.
