Paul Archuleta/FilmMagicParis Jackson‘s resume includes landing on the covers of Rolling Stone and Vogue Australia, scoring a role in Lee Daniels‘ hit TV show Star and being named the ambassador for the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.
Now, she’s scored a spot on People magazine’s Ones to Watch 2017 list.
Dubbed “The Legacy,” the 19-year-old daughter of late icon Michael Jackson tells People that she“realized it would be a shame to waste the platform I was given” after originally having career ambitions to become a “psychologist or a nurse at a psychiatric ward.”
She adds, “Having the ability to go into the acting and fashion world, I just figured, why not use that to make my platform bigger?”
“That way, instead of helping the world one by one with patients, I could help the masses.”
Others on People‘s Ones to Watch list this year include black-ish star Marcus Scribner, The Mayor star Brandon Michael Hall, Black Panther actor Winston Duke, The Cleveland Show writer J Lee, A Wrinkle in Time actress Storm Reid, and Justice League actor Ray Fisher.
