R. Kelly and Tinashe play out an argument on their first duet, “Let’s Be Real Now,” the latest single from Kellz’s upcoming album, The Buffet.
The newly released track, posted on YouTube, sees the entertainers pointing fingers at one another while detailing their failed relationship.
“Now you want to blame me, say it’s my fault for your heartache and pain, s*** / You created the storm, so don’t try to run, baby here come the rain,” Kels sings from a male perspective. However, Tinashe puts the blame right back on him: “No disrespect to the time that we spent, but boy you must be trippin’ / You expect me to post up at home for you, but now the tables are flippin’.”
The Buffet is due out December 11. In addition to the Tinashe duet, the set boasts guest features from Lil Wayne, Ty Dolla $ign, Jeremih, and Jhené Aiko, among others.
