The COVID-19 pandemic has shut down a variety of film and television series, but the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion special may just be coming to fans in real time.
The show’s star, Kandi Burruss, has revealed that producers have discussed staging the reunion online during an Instagram Live. Apparently, the girls kept the shade from their normal sit-down reunions and took it to their group chat messages.
“Some of the girls was going back and forth, you would’ve thought it had been a reunion on the text messages,” she told The Jasmine Brand. “I said, ‘Damn! Can y’all save all this for the actual reunion? We don’t get paid for your text messages to be all out of pocket.’ It’s a mess! Like seriously.”
Burruss went onto mention her castmates NeNe Leakes and Eva Marcille‘s Instagram activity with their shady makeup and body challenges.
Of note, longtime RHOA reunion host and executive producer Andy Cohen tested positive last month.
Aside from RHOA, Kandi Burruss is also teasing fans about another show, The Masked Singer. For weeks, fans have speculated she is “The Night Angel,” who sports a British accent.
She played shy during an interview with ET, stating she watches the singing competition show “sometimes”. As for the vocal resemblance, Kandi claims it’s merely a coincidence.
“I guess a lot of people sound like me, I don’t know,” she explained.
Meanwhile, check out Kandi Burruss’ recurring role in the trailer for season three of Showtime drama series The Chi, premiering on June 21.
The Masked Singer airs Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
