Rihanna has reportedly partnered with Samsung for an unprecedented $25 million deal to sponsor her upcoming album and tour.

A sources tells The New York Post that Rihanna’s deal is said to have taken seven months to negotiate, mainly due to last-minute tweaks for her long-awaited album, ANTI.  The South Korean electronics giant is seeking to use Rihanna to help promote its Galaxy line of products as well as exclusive use of Rihanna-related video content to launch via its Milk Music service, the paper cites sources as saying.

Jay Z‘s helped facilitate the deal, likely due to his profitable relationship with the brand — the company struck a $5 million marketing deal with Jay Z’s Roc Nation in 2013 prior to the original release of Hov’s Magna Carta Holy Grail exclusively for Galaxy users.

While neither Rihanna nor Roc Nation has yet to confirm the deal, the source adds that the multi-million dollar deal is bad news for competing marketers who might not want to shell out that kind of cash. “No-one wants to have $25 million deals in the market place,” said a source.
