Rihanna,Getty Images via ABC; Cardi B, Raven VaronaWe were so intrigued by Rihanna and Cardi B this year that the two artists have made People magazine’s list of the “25 Most Intriguing People of 2017.”
RiRi landed on the list particularly because of her mega-popular Fenty Beauty line, which includes 40 different foundation colors designed to work for “women of all shades.”
The cosmetics line became an instant hit, selling out in many locations and also making TIME magazine’s list of the 25 Best Inventions of 2017.
Bronx native Cardi B broke out from her exotic dancer-turned-reality-star fame with her chart-topping hit, “Bodak Yellow.”
The 25-year-old made history as the first female rapper to top the chart — without the help of any other artist — since Lauryn Hill in 1998.
She’s also nominated for two Grammys in the categories of Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for “Bodak Yellow.”
Others on People’s list include Meghan Markle, Get Out director Jordan Peele, Girls Trip actress-comedian Tiffany Haddish, and NFL player Colin Kaepernick.
