ABC/Lou RoccoRihanna has publicly denied rumors she’s dating Memphis Grizzlies forward Matt Barnes, but apparently the two aren’t complete strangers, according to Barnes’ former Clippers teammate.
In an interview with ESPN’s His & Hers, Glen “Big Baby” Davis called out the singer for making it seem like she’s never made contact with Barnes. “I don’t agree with Rihanna,” Big Baby said. “Matt Barnes is an honest, stand-up guy. He really knows her. Knows her.”
Despite Rihanna’s harsh Instagram response from earlier this week, Davis says Barnes is being truthful. “He’s not lying about that. Why would you lie about that? He’s a grown man, he doesn’t have to lie about that.”
“She has her reasons for doing what she’s doing, but if you have a relationship or you guys know each other, don’t bash him. He’s a good guy. I wouldn’t do that to someone I text and talk to,” Davis adds.
