Rihanna Tapped to Design Fendi Bags for Charity

by

Eric McCandless/CBSRihanna has found a fashionable way to raise proceeds for The Clara Lionel Foundation, a non-profit she founded in 2012 in honor of her grandparents.

According to Women’s Wear Daily, the singer has partnered with Fendi to design handbags as a part of a new charity project, which will celebrate the official inauguration of the brand’s newest flagship on Madison Avenue in New York City.

RiRi will help personalize her own 3Baguette handbag, along with bags personalized by four other celebrities — Sarah Jessica Parker, Rachel Feinstein, Jourdan Dunn, and Leandra Medine.

The bags will be unveiled during a cocktail party at the New York location February 13 and will be on display there through March 13, as well as available for purchase online at Launch3BaguetteAuction.Fendi.com, which will launch later this month. Proceeds will benefit Rihanna’s foundation, as well as the various charitable organizations selected by each woman.
