by

Roy Nachum/Roc NationRihanna found a cool way to unveil the title of her the eighth album, Anti. During a private showing at MAMA gallery in downtown Los Angeles Wednesday night, she was captured revealing the name and show-stopping artwork for her long-awaited project.

For the red-and-white cover, the singer selected a childhood photo from her first day of daycare, which was modified by artist Roy Nachum. A young Rih poses with a gold crown covering her eyes, which she says conveys “exactly the message” she wanted.

“I fell in love with it because I felt like there was another spirit, another layer to the art,” Rihanna told the crowd. “We talked about what I wanted visually and what would make me the happiest girl in the world and this is my favorite album cover I’ve ever done.”

After dropping the curtain, Rihanna also revealed her artwork includes a poem written in Braille by Chloe Mitchell. “The whole idea behind the Braille is people who have sight are sometimes the people who are blindest and it’s really good to go a little deeper,” said Ri as her fans cheered.

Also on Instagram, Rihanna broke down the meaning of the word “anti”, along with a message that reads: “In her collaboration with Roy Nachum, Rihanna has changed the history of album art. By continuing to follow her own instincts,  her work strives to make an impact by doing the very antithesis of what the public expects.”

While she’s already completed the album, Rihanna remains mum on the official release date. Her upcoming effort, executive produced by Kanye West, will include her singles “FourFiveSeconds,” “American Oxygen,” and “B**** Better Have My Money.”
