Credit: Harper SmithRobin Thicke has announced two important things via Twitter: he isn’t engaged his 20-year-old girlfriend, April Love Geary, but he has enlisted Nicki Minaj for his brand-new single, “Back Together.”
“Not engaged, but I do propose that you check out my new track with my girl @NickiMinaj #BackTogether” Thicke tweeted, before adding the YouTube link.
“You used your love to tear me apart/Now put me back together,” Robin sings over the pulsing track, which was produced by Max Martin. The song serves as their first collaboration in six years following their first hit, “Shakin’ It for Daddy,” off 2009’s Sex Therapy.
Thicke’s upcoming, eighth album will serve as the follow-up to last year’s Paula. Kicked off by his lead single “Morning Sun,” the set will arrive later this year.
