Back in July, the family of Nia Wilson had to endure her sudden and untimely death. She was brutally stabbed on the BART train alongside her older sister who survived the stabbing.
Earlier this week, Golden State Warriors player, Steph Curry, took to Facebook to live stream a showcase game for young Bay Area athletes at the Kezar Pavilion in San Francisco. Curry used the live stream opportunity to encourage viewers to donate to Nia Wilson’s family.
“Everybody who’s watching at home on the live stream on Facebook, please hit the ‘Donate’ button. Everything that is donated today — all the proceeds 100 percent — will go to Nia Wilson’s family”.
Curry has since raised over $21,000 for Nia Wilson’s family and donations are still being received.
