Tamar Braxton, Kandi Burruss join Celebrity Big Brother

ABC/Lorenzo BevilaquaTamar Braxton and Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss have officially signed up for the second season of Big Brother: Celebrity Edition.

Braxton shared the news of her new gig via Instagram on Sunday.

“Surprise!,” she wrote, captioning an image of herself in a Big Brother promo. “Ive been such a huge fan of this show, and finally I get to compete! Make sure you tune in starting Monday January 21st to catch me on Celebrity Big Brother on CBS.”

Meanwhile, Burruss teased fans about her addition to the show via an Instagram Story, captured by The Jasmine Brand.

“Announcement: Always up to something, she wrote. “Make sure you got to my YouTube page: Kandionline for more info! Put [money] if you will be tuning in! #celebritybigbother.”

The two women join nine other contestants, including former Trump communications director Anthony ScaramucciLindsay Lohan’s mom, Dina Lohan; former TV star Joey Lawrence; Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte and O.J. Simpson’s former houseguest, Kato Kaelin

Big Brother follows a group of celebrities living together in one house. Each week, one of the celebrities will be voted out the residence with the last one left winning $250,000.

Big Brother: Celebrity Edition, hosted by Julie Chen, premieres with a special two-night episode on CBS, airing January 21 and 22 at  8:00 p.m. ET.
