Taj StansberryTank is turning heads with his recent message to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for a role in The Rock’s Fast and Furious spinoff movie based on his character Luke Hobbs.
On Instagram, Tank writes, “Somebody tell @therock that I’m ready for the #Hobbs movie RIGHT NOW!! Cast a real SAVAGE! I’ll let you guys cook up the beef while I just focus on expanding my horizons as an actor!”
The Rock responded to the “When We” singer’s note, writing in turn, “We see you brother @TheRealTank. Iron beast! It’s been very cool to see so many texting me to join our spinoff and have fun. #HobbsShaw.”
What makes Tank and The Rock’s social media exchange so intriguing is that Tank is a former member of TGT — the now-defunct R&B supergroup that consisted of Tank, Ginuwine… and Tyrese.
Tyrese is currently feuding with the former WWE superstar: the “Sweet Lady” singer blames The Rock for delaying the Fast and Furious franchise’s upcoming installment in favor of developing the Hobbs spinoff.
At the moment, it’s too early to tell what will come of Tank’s dream request or if Tyrese will respond to both his former TGT group mate and his Fate of the Furious co-star.
