Jussie Smollett and his ‘TV dad’ have often butt heads in the hit Fox show “Empire,’ but off the small screen, it looks like Terrence Howard is standing by Smollett in the wake of allegations that he faked his own hate attack, then lied to police about it.
Howard posted an Instagram video of Smollett playing with his (Howard’s) baby boy while a plane with the caption, “All your lil homies got you… We love the hell out of you.”
And, in response to a fan who criticized Howard for supporting Smollett, Howard minced no words in his response, telling the poster to “stay in your lane.”
“Sorry you feel that way but that’s the only Jussie I know. The Jussie I know could never even conceive of something so unconscious and ugly. His innocence or judgment is not for any of us to decide. Stay in your lane and my lane is empathy and love and compassion for someone I’ve called my son for five years. It’s God’s job to judge and it’s ours to love and hope, especially for those that we claim to have loved.”
