The album is just getting better and better: Tinashe takes readers on a Joyride in new issue of British GQ Style

Dennis LeupoldIn between the release of her smokin’-hot new song, “Flame,” her new gig as Pepsi’s Sound Drop artist and her upcoming appearance on Lee Daniels‘ smash hit series, EmpireTinashe is also working at a feverish pace to release her highly-anticipated album Joyride

“I’ve been in the studio every. Day. All. Month,” she tells British GQ Style.

“The good thing that fans should be excited about is that the album is just getting better and better. It’s not sitting in limbo, it’s being improved upon and growing all the time. I hope everyone is patient with me, but when it does drop, it’s going to be f****** worth it.” 

The singer’s collabo with Britney Spears on “Slumber Party” recently helped her earn her first #1 spot on Billboard‘s Dance Club Songs chart, and she mentions working with a variety of artists on the album, including Spears, Metro Boomin, British music producer KDA and even Enrique Iglesias.

“I don’t think I really need to bend to any of the ideas that people have about me,” she says.
