The garbanzo beans are cooked: Ari Lennox drops video for BMO

In the fan favorite track, Dreamville’s first lady is “summertime crushin'” as she references the lyrics of Labelle‘s classic “Lady Marmalade,” telling her man to “break me off/and gitchi gitchi yaya.”

At the end of the clip, she moves from the couch to the kitchen, lifts the lid on a pot on the stove and delivers the now-famous line: “Lemme go and check on these godd**n garbanzo beans and see if they cooked yet.”

On August 24, Ari will headline Live Nation Urban’s Femme It Forward music series in Philadelphia, PA and then open for Lizzo on her Cuz I Love You Too tour, starting September 7.

When the Lizzo tour wraps in October, Ari heads overseas for shows in Europe and U.K.
