According to DeadlineThe Good Place‘s William Jackson Harper has signed on to play a recurring role in Jenkins’ upcoming adaption. He joins Joel Edgerton and previously announced Thuso Mbedu, newcomer Chase W. Dillon and Krypton star Aaron Pierre.

The film is an adaptation of Colson Whitehead‘s Pulitzer Prize-winning book of the same name, which depicts the historic “Underground Railroad” as a literal train that brings a slave named Cora from her plantation to freedom.
