Image courtesy Republic RecordsAfter announcing Thursday via Twitter the name of his new album, Beauty Behind the Madness, The Weeknd confirmed Friday that the album will arrive August 28 and is available for pre-order now. Fans immediately responded, and the Canadian singer tweeted, “Beauty Behind the Madness is #1 on iTunes ||| XO.”
The 14-track album includes the official first single, “Can’t Feel My Face,” as well as “The Hills.” Both songs are currently in the top 25 of the Billboard Hot 100, along with “Earned It” from the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack.
Beauty Behind the Madness is The Weeknd’s second full length album and follows his 2013 debut album, Kiss Land. One week after the album’s release, the singer will join Beyonce as headliners of Jay-Z’s Made in America festival in Philadelphia over Labor Day weekend.
