The Weeknd, Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars Lead 2015 Soul Train Awards Nominations

The network reports the singer is tied with five nominations alongside the duo behind “Uptown Funk,”Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars, for this year’s ceremony, which takes place at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas November 6.

The Weeknd’s nominations include Best R&B/Soul Male Artist and Album of the Year.  He’ll compete against Ronson and Mars for the Ashford & Simpson Songwriter’s Award.  BeyonceChris Brown, Jidenna and Tyrese  follow close behind, with four nominations each.

The Soul Train Awards 2015 will air November 29 at 8 p.m. on BET and Centric.
