Toni Braxton and Babyface have secured the number one position on Billboard’s Adult R&B radio airplay chart with their hit single “Hurt You.”
According to the publication, the song rose from #2 to #1 this week making it the first chart-topper for either of them in more than a decade — Braxton’s “Just Be a Man About It” led for two weeks in 2000 while Babyface’s “Every Time I Close My Eyes” claimed the coveted spot for two weeks back in 1997.
The duo’s feat has also ended Robin Thicke‘s 17-week reign atop the chart with his party anthem “Blurred Lines” featuring T.I. and Pharrell.
“Hurt You” is the lead single from Braxton and Babyface’s upcoming duets album, Love, Marriage & Divorce, which is slated to arrive on February 4 via Motown/Island Def Jam.
