Tory Lanez drops ‘Loner’ rap capsule featuring 42 Dugg, Lil Wayne, Swae Lee and more

by

Joseph Okpako/WireImageTory Lanez has dropped the first of many capsule projects: Loner.

The 10-song rap project features appearances from 42 Dugg, Lil Wayne, Swae Lee, Rich The Kid, Lil Wayne and Tyga on “Shameless.” It also features artist Melii and rapper VV$ KEN, who are both signed to Tory’s label, One Umbrella.

In an Instagram video, Tory Lanez said the album was supposed to be only eight songs but he added two more in honor of his loyal fanbase.  In addition, he says more new music is on the way.

“In the next two or three weeks, I’ll let y’all umbrellas decide whether or not we put out the R&B capsule or the Island capsule,” said Tory.

Loner follows Tory’s DAYSTAR release in September, in which he addressed his relationship with Megan Thee Stallion and and proclaimed his innocence regarding Megan’s shooting incident this past summer.

Last month, he issued a not guilty plea after being charged with “assaulting a female friend” in Hollywood Hills on July 12th. Specifically, he was charged with one felony count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm – personal use of a firearm – and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.

He also faces a “gun allegation and that he personally inflicted great bodily injury,” and a maximum prison sentence of 22 years and eight months, if convicted.

Despite his pending case, fans on social media are still loving Tory’s music and they don’t plan to stop.

One fan tweeted, “Tory Lanez [is] talented boy. [This man] didn’t miss once this year damn,” while another wrote, “Imma still [mess] with Tory Lanez [be]cause his music is always a vibe.”
