ABC NewsTyler Perry is clearly a well-oiled machine.
In a new Instagram post, the accomplished director-producer revealed that he writes all of his own TV shows without the help of a writers’ room.
“I don’t know if you know this, but all shows on television have a writers’ room and most of the time there are ten people, 12, whatever that write on these television shows,” Perry explained in a video, that showed off his stacks of TV show scripts. “I have no writers’ room. Nobody writes any of my work. I write it all.”
“I wrote all of these scripts by myself in 2019,” he continued. “What’s my point? Work ethic!”
Perry then captioned his post, “WORK ETHIC!! Come on. Let’s go get 2020!!!”
For those keeping tabs, Perry already has a busy 2020 ahead of him. His OWN TV show, The Haves and The Have Nots returns tonight at 9 p.m. and his BET series Sistas and The Oval return tomorrow, January 8.
