ABC/Image Group LATonight, Usher is ready to turn out Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, and he’s telling his fans to be ready for a massive sing-a-long.

The eight-time Grammy winner will perform live on the show tonight from the AllState Fan Fest in New Orleans, and he’s thrilled to bring in the new year celebrating his 35th anniversary as a recording artist,

“My mother and some of my other family members will be there with me,” Usher tells ABC Audio. “It’s a very personal moment for me.”

The 41-year old singer wants the crowd in The Big Easy to get ready to be a part of the show, too.

“I am definitely going to put my audience on the spot to sing along with me,” he says.

You can expect his performance to feature his biggest number one singles, such as “U Remind Me,” “Yeah,” and “Burn.”  As Usher puts it,  “Listen to 8701 up to Confessions because there are going to be a couple of records that I’m definitely going to require you to give me a little audience participation.”

As the star looks forward to 2020, his new year’s resolution is to spend more time with loved ones.

“Each year I try to grow closer to my family,” he says. “I hope I have more time to be more present there with my family members.”

In 2020, Usher also plans to release his first new album in over three years.  It’ll feature his new duet with Ella Mai, “Don’t Waste My Time.”

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest starts tonight at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
