CeCe Wanans admitted that she was a bit apprehensive about recording her album “Let Them Fall In Love” when her son/producer Alvin Love III presented the idea to her.
“It was weird for me to say, ‘OK, I really have to do everything he tells me to do,’ as the mom,” Winans told The Tennessean with a laugh. “But it wasn’t hard…I knew that he knew my voice just as well as I knew my voice. And that’s one of the things, I think he came in ahead of all of the other producers I’ve worked with, because he really knows me, and he’s been there for most of my musical years.”
Winans’ decision paid off last night with the Gospel music legend winning two Grammy Awards for Best Gospel Performance/Song for “Never Have To Be Alone”, and Best Gospel Album for “Let Them Fall In Love!”
