Update: Flash Flood Warnings Until Monday

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning to remain in effect until Monday at 6am.

Heavy rainfall is expected with an additional 3 to 6 inches. This could be higher due to the ground already being saturated from record rainfall this fall.

More on the tornadoes that ripped through the area on Saturday evening:

Governor Abbot has requested emergency declarations for Dallas, Collin, Ellis and Rockwall counties.

The Garland tornado was an EF-4 packing winds (166mph-200mph) @WFAA

Rowlett mayor has issued 24-hour curfew for the damaged areas

Several Dallas police officer’s homes were devastated by the tornado according to Chief David O. Brown. The police associations are providing assistance.

The Salvation Army DFW is serving meals in four locations: Garland, Rowlett, Midlothian & Glen Heights
