Barack and Michelle Obama were in Chicago on Tuesday for the official groundbreaking ceremony for the new Obama Presidential Center. The campus will include a museum, athletic center, community building, public plaza, and a playground, located on Chicago’s Jackson Park. Construction began in August despite legal challenges from environmental groups concerned it will damage the local ecology. No completion date has been set for the $500 million project.
