Teddy Riley spearheaded the “New Jack Swing” era in which was the sound of all of our favorite ate 80s and early 90s jams. On December 9th, Teddy Riley will be headlining a “King and Queens of New Jack Swing” show at the Apollo Theatre in his hometown of Harlem. In addition to Riley, guest performances will include Keith Sweat, Blackstreet, Dough E. Fresh, Guy, Kool Moe Dee, and MC Lyte.
Riley expressed how much such a show means to him. He stated, “I get really emotional because I’m in such disbelief. I’m from the projects, man. To make it out of the projects, not too many people could say that.”
The two shows will take place December 9th at 6:30pm and 9pm.
