The horrific Category 5 Hurricane Dorian has left over 70,000 Bahamian residents without a home with a current death toll of 43. The hurricane has since left the island but its effects will last for much longer. Fortunately, there are more than a few celebrities who felt the effects of Dorian from afar and want to use their resources to help.
Tyler Perry has used his personal seaplane to make two trips to the island to deliver sleeping bags, water and toiletries to those affected.
Ludacris has since donated $100,000 to a hurricane relief fund.
Rihanna is strategizing with her Clara Lionel Foundation board of trustees in order to see the most effective way they’re contributions can impact those in need.
Lenny Kravitz recently told CNN that he plans to send boats with “basic needs, generators, chainsaws, flashlights, water, food, roofing materials, drop cloths” through his Let Love Rule Foundation with the end goal of getting the Islands back on their feet.
Lastly, Buddy Hield pledged to donate $100,000 of his own money to help Hurricane Dorian relief efforts.
