ABC/Randy HolmesAlicia Keys is reportedly in the market for a brand new record label.
Sources tells Variety that the superstar and her management “are actively shopping for a prospective new deal that could be outside of Sony Music.”
Keys’ manager Johnny Wright is supposedly leading the negotiations and is said to be “fielding offers which include a bid from Warner Bros. Records.”
Alicia broke out with her debut album, Songs in A Minor, in 2001. At the time, she was signed to the now-defunct label J Records, which was owned by Sony Music Entertainment.
She later signed to RCA — also owned by Sony — which is her current label home.
Alicia’s career includes six studio albums, two live albums and a remix album.
Her latest studio album, Here, came out in 2016.
